The legendary purifier on the still – responsible for Ardbeg’s exalted balance – is nowhere to be seen. And this whisky – Ardbeg Heavy Vapours – is the consequence.
The familiar harmony between peat and floral fruitiness has been disrupted. What have risen are the untamed darker flavours and notes, gathering and filling the senses.
It is an ominous dram of dramatic, aromatic pungency. Heavy Vapours will rise.

The distillery say "Casado (Portuguese for marriage) is a limited-edition bottling which was matured in fresh bourbon barrels for 6 years before 38 casks were selected and married together for 2 years in two 6,000 litres Portuguese red wine vats. The red wine marriage gives the whisky layers of red fruit and spices which complement the vanilla and butterscotch influence of the bourbon barrels beautifully” It is 50ppm and only 12,900 bottles were produced.
This is the first 2024 release of the peated Campbeltown single malt scotch whisky (bottled November 2023).
This 18 Years Old Royal Brackla has been aged for a minimum of 18 years in selected oak casks then finished in Palo Cortado Sherry casks. The distillery describe the whisky as enticing and complex giving rich spices, creamy vanilla, big succulent soft fruits and cocoa powder, brightened with a zing of citrus.

Heavily peated single malt whisky made with a mix of Concerto and Laureate malted barley with an in-grain phenols content of 77+ppm. Fermented with Pinnacle MG+ and Safspirit M-1 yeats and aged in a mix of first fill ex-Bourbon Barrels and refill whisky barrels. The residiual pheonl level is 17 ppm.
