The Kilchoman PX Sherry cask matured 2023 Edition was matured for a minimum of five years in Pedro Ximinez sherry casks previously used by Bodega Jose y Miguel Martin, Jerez, Spain. The time spent maturing in Pedro Ximinez casks, has given the whisky layers of rich, sweet PX influence which balance beautifully with the citrus sweetness and peat smoke of the Kilchoman spirit

The distillery say ‘The Original’ is our classic single malt that truly champions our peated pursuit. Made with mainland peat from St. Fergus, the flavour contribution is sweeter than that anticipated of coastal peat. With an extended fermentation time of 160 hours, nearly triple the industry average, the whisky boasts flavour-rich, complex character. Aged in a combination of first-fill Bourbon barrels, American virgin oak casks and Rye barrels, the spirit clocks in at 35 PPM.
Independent Scotch Whisky Business, Douglas Laing & Co, marks its distilling debut with their inaugural release of Strathearn Single Malt Scotch Whisky. This release represents a spirit of the utmost quality, refinement, and character. Crafted to perfection and bottled from 32 specially selected casks; a seamless combination of ex- Bourbon, Virgin and ex-Sherry oak, some of which were inherited when Douglas Laing acquired the Strathearn Distillery and a portion of spirit distilled under Douglas Laing ownership. Strathearn Lead Distiller, Angela Brown, has ensured that the spirit embodies the Douglas Laing style for Strathearn now and for future releases to come, with the Single Malt taking on an immensely rich and refined flavour.
