The Benromach 10 Years Old is a beautifully balanced whisky that has been entirely handcrafted at Benromach. Every moment of its making was an expression of the art of distillation.
What The WSD thinks: Cinder toffee and woodfire ash. There's newspaper in there as well. Very different on the palate with lots of fruit. Drawing/starting a fire with newspaper while eating tropical fruit.
G&M: Rich sherry with fruits & nut chocolate, delicate spice, green apples, malty biscuit and a touch of light peat smoke. With water - A wee bit nutty with a touch of charred oak and malt, and there's also some fancy pineapple and kiwi.
G&M: Juicy raspberries and brambles, sherry, creamy malt and a light peat. With water - toasted malt, delicate peat smoke and lingering sweet Sherry.
WSD: Smoked ready salted crisps fire damaged perhaps.
