Description
The Glendronach Hielan or Highland in the local Doric dialect, is an expectional 8 years old single malt. This remarkable whisky has been matured and married in a combination of the finest bourbon and sherry casks.

Nose |
Distillery: Rounded waves of orange blossom and a citrus twist flow over buttery, golden sultanas, sundried raisins and ripe yellow plums, all dusted with a touch of vanilla.
The WSD: Light sherry notes mixed with citrus and a slight note of liquorice with a hint of rum (V) |
Taste |
Distillery: Crisp, vibrant oak spices warm soaked sultanas, apricot jam and gingerbread; all rounded by delicate hints of butterscotch, cocoa and toasted almonds.
The WSD: Certainly wakes you up plenty of liquorice and aniseed sets your tongue on fire (V). |
Finish |
Distillery: Classic sherry overtones with a contrasting crisp dimension demonstrates the complexity of the traditional Highland character.
The WSD: The finish smooths out. but still very fiery (V) |
